The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 encounter between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) which was to be
played at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens on April 6 is likely to be shifted due to security fears fueled by Ram Navami festivities. CAB President Snehasish Ganguly has confirmed that this decision was arrived at through discussions with the local authorities and that it would be impossible to pack 65,000 people without proper police protection. The CAB has reported the situation to the BCCI and the final decision is still to be made.

One potential solution under consideration is relocating the match to Guwahati. Reports suggest that the CAB has proposed this venue change, but official confirmation is awaited.
The IPL 2025 season is scheduled to start on March 22, and KKR is to host Royal Challengers Bengaluru at Eden Gardens. A 35-minute opening ceremony is scheduled to take place before the match, with singer Shreya Ghoshal and actress Disha Patani to perform.
